Data Destruction

Secure Data Destruction & Hard Drive Shredding

DoD-standard wiping or physical destruction, with a certificate.

Deleting a file does not remove it, and formatting a drive does not either. Anything that held business records, customer details or financial information needs to be wiped to a verifiable standard or physically destroyed. We do both, and we can document it.

Common questions

Is wiping enough, or should I destroy the drive?
If the drive is being reused, a verified multi-pass wipe is enough. If it is being retired, physical destruction removes any argument. We will tell you which applies.
Can you do this while I watch?
Yes. For sensitive material we can destroy on-site so nothing leaves your premises.
Do SSDs need different handling?
Yes. SSDs do not overwrite the same way traditional drives do, so we use the manufacturer's secure-erase command or physically destroy them.
Do I get proof?
A certificate of destruction is available on request, listing the devices and the method used.
What happens to the hardware afterwards?
It goes into our free recycling stream — refurbished, harvested for parts, or responsibly recycled.
